Mrs Mary Francis, Admin Assistant

As a child I grew up in the village of Tete Morne, Grand Bay. My family lived within very close proximity to the Tete Morne Gospel Mission Church so we were constantly exposed to the Word through Open Air Services, Vacation Bible School, Sunday afternoon witnessing and of course Bible Club with a Missionary, Ms. Diane Grabber.

I recall listening to the young people singing during Crusades and Open Air Services I’d always think “one day I want to be able to do that.”

Well, my day of reckoning was the evening of Wednesday 4th February, 1987 after hearing the Word at a Crusade organized by the Tete Morne Gospel Mission Church, that I finally said “Lord I give up all to follow you, no turning back”.

My commitment to follow the Lord was further strengthened when together with my mom; we followed His example in Water Baptism in the cool hours of the morning on Sunday 3rd May, 1987.

Thinking back on the day when the Lord found me, the words of this song seems so apt “if I had it to do all over again, I’d serve Jesus everyday of my life.”

Over the years, this journey with the Lord has taken many turns but the Lord has been a faithful and constant friend and companion. I can truly say “It pays to serve Jesus, I speak from my heart.”

To you who are searching for peace, contentment, satisfaction and love, I recommend JESUS. He will be your HOPE and STAY when everything and everyone around you give way. The Christian walk is not one of ease, you will not be problem free but the Lord promises in Hebrews 13:5b “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

About Me

I am the wife of one husband, Marcus J Francis and we have been married for the past 15 years 7 months. Our union has been blest with two wonderful children, Nathan Kyle Francis and Naomi Hannah Francis. Approximately 7 years ago, we were obedient in answering the Lord’s call to nurture one more child, Rosemond Nicholas. We are a family of five.

Currently, we are members of the Christian Union Church of the West Indies, Dominica District. My husband serves this organization in the capacity of District Superintendent and also has responsibility as Pastor of the Roseau Christian Union Church.

My areas of ministry are within the Sunday School, Worship, Special Music and Hospitality and Needs Ministries of this congregation. I believe the Lord has gifted me as an Encourager so I use this gift to minister to those whom the Lord directs my way.

I find my greatest fulfillment in spending time with and caring for my family. My hobbies are reading (an avid reader), singing, netball and cooking.
